Each of these soy candles is based on an element from Zen Buddhism: Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Sky (sometimes called ether). When we put them out in our shop at Bow Market in Somerville, MA, folks immediately took to them, picking out their favorites. Interestingly, each person felt drawn to one or another element. We think this is just what is intended with these beautifully packaged candles. Find which element speaks most strongly to you!
Product details
Each candle is boxed and tied with twine. Included with the candle is a list of fragrance notes, a brief Zen philosophy relevant to the element, and a quote from the poet Rumi. It makes a wonderful gift---for a friend or for yourself!
Our suggestion: Use the element as a starting point to meditation.

How to use
Please trim the wick before use. When you light it for the first time, make sure to let it burn for an hour or more to prevent tunneling. And keep an eye on it while it burns---untended candles start fires!
